OSA Referee Registration

All RETURNING referees aged 15 and over, must complete an online education evaluation in the Laws of the Game and current FIFA amendments as part of the 2018 Referee Registration.

Remember that if you are an Entry Level and Small Sided Referee you only need to complete the Entry Level education evaluation.

There is a 1 hour time limit when taking the online education evaluation and you must complete it in 1 sitting. There will be no pass/fail but your grade may reflect what division you are assigned to referee during the 2018 season. This option will open February 15, 2018 and remain open through the 2018 registration season. Once this is completed, the referee's registration can be processed.

Any referee who does not have access to a computer can visit the local library for free access options. As the videos will be embedded through YouTube, an educational setting may restrict the playing of the videos. If you have no way of accessing the internet please contact the office for assistance.

Purpose of change:

The results of this evaluation will help direct future education and learning opportunities in the district and across the province.

  • It will demonstrate to the referees what their personal knowledge level of the current LOTG sits.
  • The system will produce a report that will show a district where the majority of their referees are strong in knowledge of LOTG, and where there are visible weaknesses.
  • The results report will be able to be retrieved by the District Referee Coordinator through the registration season.

The results report will allow both the district and referee to clearly direct their education and personal development.
